This trip was not only an athletic challenge at the limits of what is possible but a moment of fundamental affirmation for the brand. Beyond the stopwatch, there was Fessura's desire to be there, to leave a mark, and to connect with the territory.

The Italian team merged with the local Fessura athletes from the Canary Islands, a union that unleashed extraordinary strength, bringing a strong purple presence to determinedly cover all distances of the race.
Fiery start with the Vertical
The curtain rose on Thursday with the shortest, but undoubtedly the most brutal, event: the Vertical. A technical and unforgiving course of 7 km with 1166 D+ that offers no respite, immediately confronting athletes with a vertical "wall" to overcome, where pure power and mental endurance make the difference.

In this vertical scenario, our athletes achieved top-level performances: sprinter Giorgio Lampa secured a solid 27th place, followed by Luca Gargiulo in 42nd position.

At the same time, the Canarian athletes of the team also showed great character: Idoia Perez, 24th among women, and Efren Segundo, who finished with an excellent 26th place. A challenge of pure competitiveness that warmed up the engines for the long distances of the weekend.
Fessura arrives in Gran Canaria.
Between the adrenaline of the Vertical and the anticipation for Saturday's big challenges, Friday was dedicated to relaxation and sharing, training in a group. The protagonist of the day was the Run2Connect event, organized by local partners who sell Fessura on the islands.

The run started directly from the beating heart of the race village, our athletes ran side by side with local athletes and amateurs. It was a fundamental moment to bridge the relationship between brand and area, reducing distances, exchanging ideas on technical opinions, and experiencing the passion for trail running outside the stopwatch, consolidating that authentic bond that unites the brand, local retailers, and the runner community.
Beyond the limit: Race Day.
Saturday saw the most anticipated spectacle. The Transvulcania is not a race like any other; it is a surreal challenge that unfolds amidst landscapes that seem to belong to another planet. Thousands of people flocked to the trails of a competition that featured the sacred monsters of global trail running.

The course is an incredible journey, starting from the black sand of the oceanic coasts, crossing dense forests, and climbing to the volcanic ridges, where the dark terrain contrasts with the deep blue of the sea on the horizon. Running in such a primordial context made the event an almost mystical experience. Our athletes fought hard kilometer after kilometer, achieving extraordinary results at high levels.
In the Half Marathon, we witnessed an outstanding performance by Giacomo Forconi, who returned to perform after an injury. His 20th place is an important result that officially marks the athlete's return.

Luca Gargiulo also put in a heroic effort, finishing in 51st position after having already tackled Thursday's Vertical. Among the Canary Islands athletes, the excellent 31st place of Esteban Garcìa stands out.

In the Marathon, the team shone thanks to the great performances of our athletes; Ecaterina Sevcenco finished in 21st place, followed by Tatiana Mujica in 28th position.

Finally, in the queen distance, the Ultramarathon, Marco Brutti and Alessio Donati crossed the finish line in 37th and 38th place respectively by gender. The two ran much of the race together, giving each other strength and energy.

A performance of great character that confirms the team's solidity over extreme distances, just as already demonstrated in the Chianti Ultra Trail experience.
Towards new horizons
The expedition to Transvulcania concludes with a balance that goes far beyond numbers and rankings. We return from La Palma with the awareness that Fessura knows no boundaries, capable of adapting from volcanic rock to the dust of international trails without ever losing its identity.
A fundamental role in this undertaking was played by technical evolution; the athletes performed with the new GSR Team, a shoe further improved and adapted to respond to different situations. The reactivity thanks to Slot Technology and the Grip+ of the GSR allowed our runners to safely tackle the most technical sections, demonstrating how the brand's research and development work is the ideal travel companion for those who challenge the limit.

This was also an opportunity to test Fessura's new technical equipment. The athletes previewed the vest, the belt, and the clothing, anticipating the official release scheduled for late April.

The trip to the Canary Islands was not just a journey but the confirmation of a project that focuses on the union between performance and people. Seeing our athletes and the local community run together is the very essence of what Fessura represents: innovation, people, movement, and constant connection.
The Fessura Trail Team's journey has just begun. The volcanic ridges are now behind us, but new goals and new challenges await us on the horizon.
