On the weekend of September 26 and 27, 2026, the enchanting medieval village of Amandola (FM) will transform into the beating heart of trail running, hosting the Zero Edition of an event born to become a benchmark in international outdoor sports. The objective is clear: to enhance the extraordinary beauty of the Sibillini Mountains National Park, combining high-performance challenges with a passion for running in nature.
An event that combines performance, territory, and heart: during the event, in fact, Fessura will support ANFFAS Sibillini with a charitable donation, reaffirming its closeness to organizations that promote inclusion.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 26: THE TALK WITH MARCO OLMO AND THE START OF THE GSR ULTRATRAIL
Saturday will officially open the weekend with a moment of great inspiration dedicated to running enthusiasts. In the afternoon, a special talk on endurance will take place, led by sports and radio speaker Gilberto Zorat.
The special guest of the event will be Marco Olmo, a true living legend of world trail running and winner of historic editions of the Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc (UTMB). Together with other protagonists of the outdoor scene, Olmo will share anecdotes, visions, and the philosophy that drives man to overcome his limits.
THE 124 KM OF THE GRANDE ANELLO DEI SIBILLINI
Also on Saturday, the GSR Ultratrail will begin. A selected group of athletes will depart from Amandola to tackle the Grande Anello dei Sibillini, a spectacular route of approximately 124 km in complete self-sufficiency. This endeavor is designed to map and test the route on the ground, laying the groundwork for the official opening of the ultra-race to all enthusiasts starting from the next edition.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27: THE RACES AND WALKS
Sunday will be the day when the adrenaline rises. Starting from the center of Amandola, athletes will venture among the breathtaking trails and landscapes of the Sibillini, choosing from three competitive routes designed for every level of preparation:
-
VTR (35 km - 1,900 m D+): The most technical and challenging race for this year, reserved for experienced trail runners looking for elevation gain and real challenges.
-
SBL (21 km - 950 m D+): A dynamic, fast, and spectacular trail half marathon.
-
PLT (12 km - 400 m D+): A gravel-type route, perfect for those who want to get into trail running and test their pace.
HIKING AND TREKKING FOR EVERYONE
The event will be a true celebration open to anyone who loves the mountains. For trekking enthusiasts, two non-competitive walks are planned:
-
A 12 km hike to fully immerse oneself in the landscapes and colors of the Park.
-
An accessible 4 km walk, ideal for families and to experience the atmosphere of the event around the village of Amandola.
THE ENTIRE FESSURA TEAM ON THE FRONT LINE
Making this Zero Edition even more special will be the presence of the entire Fessura team at the starting line. Both road running athletes and trail running specialists will be there in full force to run, test materials on the field, and share their passion for running with the public.
It will be a unique opportunity to see the entire brand team in action, ready to get involved on the trails and roads of the Sibillini and experience a weekend as absolute protagonists alongside enthusiasts.
AN AMBITIOUS PROJECT FOR THE FUTURE
This marks only the beginning of a much larger and long-term vision. Fessura's and the organizers' ambition is to transform the GSR Ultratrail over time into much more than just a competitive event. The goal is to create a true celebration of outdoor sports culture, capable of attracting enthusiasts from everywhere and amplifying the extraordinary natural and cultural heritage of the Sibillini Mountains.
By organizing the race together with Space Running, the brand reaffirms its vocation for innovation and exploration, demonstrating once again how the pursuit of performance and the love for nature can merge into a single, grand narrative.
Mark your calendars: on September 26 and 27, the future of trail running passes through the Sibillini Mountains!
