The event, provocatively and ambitiously titled "Can Design Change the World?", was not only a celebration but a moment of profound reflection on the power of creativity and design.

The Workshop with NABA.

In the afternoon, a workshop was held in collaboration with the talented individuals from the Design department of NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti). The young designers were challenged to engage with the very essence of Change, using the iconic white bands as a canvas on which to project unprecedented patterns through their own vision.

Through their creative approaches, the bands received a fresh and disruptive reinterpretation, capable of transforming a technical element into a style manifesto.

Seeing the band gain new creative life through the eyes of new generations was tangible proof of a fundamental truth: when design is authentic, it never stops speaking to the future.

Karim Rashid, guest at the event.

The late afternoon reached its peak with a rare moment of discussion. The undisputed protagonist of the talk was Karim Rashid, who enchanted the audience by sharing his highly personal vision of design, where aesthetics and functionality must coexist in perfect balance.

Recounting his most celebrated works, Rashid highlighted his historic twenty-year collaboration with Fessura, a bond based on the constant pursuit of innovation and the desire to break the mold of traditional footwear.

The store transformed into an agora of global creativity, hosting internationally renowned designers such as Fabio Novembre, Ross Lovegrove and Stefan Sagmeister. These masters, along with many other notable guests, engaged in a lively and inspiring dialogue to explore the concept of creativity today.

The passing of the baton, design looking to the future

The most exciting moment was the conclusion of the workshop, when Karim Rashid himself analyzed the works of the NABA students. With his unmistakable aesthetic sensibility, Rashid selected and awarded the most significant project.

The event at Corso di Porta Ticinese not only celebrated 25 years of the iconic product but reaffirmed Fessura's mission: to continue to be a meeting point between creativity, technology, and vision. Because if design can truly change the world, it starts by taking one step at a time.
